
Headpowder successfully delivered a complete powder conveying system for a food additive production line located in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. The project focused on transferring fine food-grade powder from storage to packaging stations with high cleanliness and minimal material loss.

Before the upgrade, the customer faced several operational difficulties: open manual handling led to severe dust emissions, causing health hazards for workers and cross-contamination risks. The existing mechanical conveyor often clogged due to the cohesive nature of the powder, resulting in frequent downtime and inconsistent feeding rates. In addition, the lack of automation forced operators to perform repeated manual weighing, which reduced overall productivity and introduced human errors.

To address these pain points, Headpowder designed a closed-loop pneumatic conveying system with integrated filtration and automated weight control. The system uses vacuum suction to transport the additive powder through sealed stainless-steel pipes, eliminating dust leakage. A centralized PLC controller manages the feeding speed, batch weights, and cleaning cycles, ensuring continuous, reliable operation. The filter receivers are equipped with pulse-jet cleaning to maintain consistent airflow and prevent blockages. Compared to the previous method, the new system reduces dust emissions by more than 98%, improves conveying efficiency by 40%, and requires minimal manual intervention.
